You see, I\'ve always carried traits of an artist since I was a young girl, yet I always struggled to find my passion and direction toward what really fulfilled me.
Being an ideal student never came easy to me.......Read More In a world where children and teenagers were molded to believe subjects such as algebra and chemistry were pre-requisites to \"getting a successful job\", I always felt as though that lifestyle just wasn\'t for me. Choosing the right college and a career I was passionate about at such a young age felt incredibly overwhelming. I didn\'t WANT to do what everyone else was doing. I didn\'t WANT to have to choose a career that would dictate what I did for the rest of my life because that\'s what I was \"supposed\" to do. It wasn\'t until a few years ago after working retail and desk jobs that I had my \"A-HA!\" moment. I\'m an artist! I like to be creative! I wanted to express my fashion sense, sing, dance....anything but be stuck behind a desk for 8 hours a day with stacks of paperwork or succumbing to the corporate pressures of working in sales.
Back in 2013 I visited a career counselor, desperate to get some answers as to what I wanted to do with my life. I took quite a long test that asked me all sorts of questions about myself and my personality. That day I was told to start a fashion blog. I shared my results with my husband and with his support we purchased our first professional camera and started doing photo shoots for my website that I had decided to name Fashion Swain, because fashion \"seduced me\".
I enjoyed writing and sharing my latest outfits that I had styled. Partnering with brands was fun too, however, throughout the next few years, I noticed how much I loved being in front of the camera and modeling my latest trendy getup. I began to gravitate toward modeling and this past winter I was extremely blessed in meeting Monica Hahn of Monica Hahn Photography.
When I met Monica, I had arrived at her studio to collaborate and do some headshots. I was absolutely taken by her amazing energy. She was so positive and upbeat...and a real pro at that! Her studio provided everything to be utilized in photography, not to mention her magazine-esque high quality photos. I knew when I left that shoot I would be back. And I was.
I booked my first boudoir shoot with her to kick off my professional portfolio, and it was an experience that I will never forget. We worked so great together! I FELT like a model! This is how loving what you do is supposed to feel like! I finally figured it out! If you take a few moments to browse you can see how much it radiates in my portfolio.
As I engage with more photographers I\'m taking away as much as I can learn from each session and utilize any new knowledge toward my next shoot. I\'m looking forward to my work being published for the first time this October!
I\'m looking forward to learning as much as I can and evolving in the world of modeling. This new chapter in my life is all about harnassing the power of my womanhood and celebrating who I am! I would love to book many opportunities and live my dream as a model. For bookings kindly send an email on our CONTACT page. I look forward to working with you! |
